V recenzované části časopisu WASTE FORUM mohou být publikovány pouze původní články. To znamená, že zaslaný článek nebyl dříve jinde publikován nebo současně zaslán k publikování jinému vydavateli. Výjimkou jsou součásti přednášek, přehledných článků nebo dizertačních/studentských prací.

Autor, případně první autor jménem ostatních spoluautorů, při zaslání článku do redakce formou podepsání Smlouvy o šíření díla (copyrightu) prohlašuje, že se jedná o jeho/jejich vlastní původní práci, která nebyla dosud jinde publikována a že ji v současnosti ani jinému vydavateli nenabídli k uveřejnění.

Smlouva dále na vydavatele převádí všechna práva spojená s šířením díla s uvedenými výjimkami pro autora a jeho zaměstnavatele. Ve smlouvě se rovněž autor zříká autorského honoráře a zavazuje se zaplatit publikační poplatek za uvedených podmínek.

Všechny články určené k uveřejnění v časopisu WASTE FORUM jsou podrobeny posouzení dvěma nezávislými recenzenty. Ty vybírá a oslovuje buď redakce sama, nebo k jejich výběru a oslovení využívá pomoci členů redakční rady. Zásadně jsou vybíráni recenzenti nejen podle zaměření posuzovaného článku, ale také musí být z jiné organizace a pokud možno i jiného města, než jsou autoři posuzovaného článku.

Posudky recenzentů posíláme autorům anonymně, tedy bez uvedení jména posuzovatele a jeho jméno zásadně autorům nesdělujeme.

Všechny příspěvky v čísle, které neprošly řádným recenzním řízením, jsou v záhlaví každé stránky jasně označeny Not peer-reviewed or comercial papers.

Duplicitní publikace

Duplicitní publikování částí nebo celých příspěvků není dovoleno, jak je uvedeno ve Smlouvě o šíření díla. Použití nějaké časti (text, obrázek, schéma, tabulka) článku vydaného jinde je možné pouze s vědomím šéfredaktora a v každém případě autoři musí mít písemný souhlas původního vydavatele nebo držitele autorských práv.

Plagiátorství

Prezentování celých dřívějších prací či jejich částí za svou vlastní původní práci je považováno za plagiátorství.

Autoři nemohou metodou „nůžky a lepidlo“ zvyšovat počty svých publikací, aniž by do nové práce nepřidali nějakou podstatnou novou informaci. Tento postup se označuje za autoplagiátorství. Podezření z tohoto se autoři mohou vyhnout tím, že budou důsledně uvádět odkazy na původní zdroje a získají potřebná svolení.

Recenzní pravidla

V případě, že recenzent nabude podezření, že posuzovaný článek porušuje výše uvedená pravidla nebo že se autoři dopustili plagiátorství, je povinen na to upozornit redakci.

Publication ethics

By signing the Journal Publishing Agreement (copyright), the author or the first author on behalf of all co-authors declares that it is his / their own original work, not previously published elsewhere and that it has not been currently submitted to any other publisher.

Furthermore, the Agreement transfers to the publisher all rights associated with the dissemination of the manuscript (with the stated exceptions of the author and his employer). In the Agreement, the author also disclaims any copyright royalties and agrees to pay the publication fee under the conditions described below.

All articles submitted for publication in WASTE FORUM undergo assessment by two independent reviewers. The reviewers are selected and contacted either by the members of the editorial staff or in consultation with the editorial board members. The reviewers are chosen based on expertise in the topic of the submitted article. To avoid bias, they must belong to a different organization and preferably live in a different city than the authors of the article. The reviews are dispatched to authors anonymously, i.e. the names of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors.

All papers that were not subjected to a peer-review are labeled in a header of each page by the text Not peer-reviewed and commercial papers.

Duplicate publication

Substantial duplications of whole or partial works are not allowed, as restricted by copyright. If any duplication (texts, Figures, Drawings or Tables) is executed, clear information must be given to the Editor-in-Chief. In any cases, authors are responsible to obtain full reprint permissions from all previous publishers or copyright holders.

Plagiarism

Whole or partial imitations (copies) of previous/prior works and presentation as your own original work are considered plagiarism. Authors may not use the cut and paste process in order to have multiple works published in multiple publications when little or no new information/knowledge is added. Authors who reuse substantial parts of their own published work without providing the appropriate references are guilty of self-plagiarism. Authors should try to avoid even minor plagiarism by given proper references to others' works and obtain proper permissions.

Review rules

If the reviewer suspect misconduct, violation of plagiarism, he or she is obliged to notify the Editor-in-Chief.
